Explorers Shutout Purple Panthers in Soccer Sectionals

The Marquette Explorers shutout the Litchfield Purple Panthers, 9-0 in the Class 1A girls soccer sectionals Tuesday at Gordon Moore Park. Marquette improved to 12-6-1 with the victory. Emma Anselm led the way with 2 goals and 2 assists while Madelyn Smith added a goal and 3 assists.
The Lady Explorers led 3-0 at halftime and finished the game with a strong 2nd half.
